Two injured in Mayo crash

A single-vehicle rollover crash on US 27 in Lafayette County left two women with injuries on Wednesday, June 6, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Reports show that at 1:10 a.m., a 2000 Ford Exhibition, driven by Katrina M. Land, 36, Mayo, was traveling north on US 27. The vehicle began to swerve from lane to lane and then off to the left and right shoulders of the roadway before rotating counter clockwise and onto its right side as it slid onto the left shoulder.
As the vehicle overturned both the driver and passenger, Candy D. Revels, 30, Mayo, were ejected. Neither of the occupants were wearing seatbelts, FHP stated.
Land sustained critical injuries and Revels had serious injuries. Both were airlifted to Shands UF for treatment. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000, reports state.
