TRAFFIC: Three accidents reported Thursday morning, all major bridges and … – KPLC

There were at least three crashes as Southwest Louisiana residents headed off to work Thursday morning.

Around 6:30 a.m., state police reported possible areas of patchy ice along Interstate 10 and I-210 between Sulphur and Lake Charles. By 9 a.m. all major bridges and overpasses in the Lake Area were open and traffic, though light, was moving.

Around 7 a.m. a pick-up truck flipped on the Interstate 210 overpass/ramp to I-10 westbound near Sulphur. By 9 a.m. the truck was moved to the shoulder and traffic was moving again.

There were at least two other accidents reported in the Lake Area. A pickup truck traveling east on the I-10 service road near the bridge crashed. Also, a multi-vehicle crash was reported on US 90 in between Sulphur and Westlake.
