BUCKEYE, Arizona — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 have been reopened in Buckeye following a crash.

Arizona Department of Transportation officials say the lanes were closed Thursday morning at Miller Road.

Details on the accident haven’t been released.

Police: 5 killed in crash involving a semi-truck on I-10 in Arizona

PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Public Safety says five people have died in a crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 10.

The Arizona Republic reports (http://goo.gl/0vXF5Q) that the five, including three children, died Saturday evening after their pickup truck collided with a semi-truck.

DPS spokesman Sgt. Raul Garcia said 49-year-old Shelley Renee Blackmore and 20 -year-old Danielle Blackmore were pronounced dead at the scene. Also killed were children ages 12, 12 and 8.

Garcia says the driver, Tracy Blackmore, was taken to a Phoenix hospital with serious injuries.

Police say all were from Gilbert, Arizona

Authorities believe the tire tread on the front left tire separated, causing Tracy Blackmore to lose control of his truck northwest of Picacho Peak.

Garcia says the man driving the semi-truck suffered minor injuries.

Three injured in crash involving Valley Metro bus

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

Three people are in the hospital after being injured in a crash that involved a Valley Metro bus.

Phoenix Police say that a woman driving a Thunderbird coupe was traveling south on Cave Creek Road when something caused her vehicle to drive in front of the bus.

The crash broke her vehicle into two pieces with the rear of the car striking another vehicle.

Two people were taken to the hospital from the bus and the woman was rushed with extremely critical injuries.

Investigators have Cave Creek closed while they investigate the crash.

 

3 non-injury crashes on I-10 north of Picacho Peak; blowing dust in area

Blowing dust along Interstate 10 north of Picacho Peak Tuesday afternoon has resulted in three non-injury crashes.

A blowing dust advisory between Tucson to Phoenix is expected through this evening, according to the National Weather Service. 

Arizona Department of Public Safety highway patrol officers were slowing traffic in the Picacho Peak area because of the blowing dust, said Raul Garcia, a DPS spokesman.

“There is zero visibility in certain areas and our officers are monitoring that corridor,” Garcia said.

The crashes occurred between mileposts 212 and 214.

No further information was immediately available.

I-10 westbound between Casa Grande and Phoenix has reopened

PHOENIX —  Interstate 10 westbound has reopened midway between Casa Grande and Phoenix following a fatal crash, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The crash closed the westbound lanes before 6 a.m. and traffic was diverted onto State Route 587 northbound, which later transitions into SR 87, taking drivers into the Phoenix area.

Eastbound I-10 was unaffected.

Crash closes I-10 between Casa Grande, Phoenix

PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say part of Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Casa Grande is closed after a fatal crash.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says they have no estimated time when the westbound side of I-10 would reopen after a crash Saturday morning.

Officials say motorists are being diverted onto State Route 587 northbound.

ADOT says I-10 eastbound is open but drivers should account for delays in travel time.

Authorities did not disclose details of the crash.
