No injuries after car crashes into Texas home

AMARILLO, Texas (AP) – No injuries were reported after a driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a Texas Panhandle home.

The Amarillo Globe-News reports ( ) the driver was speeding on Interstate 40 in Amarillo around 4 p.m. on Monday when he missed his exit.

A witness, Justin Crowley, says the driver swerved around his white Pontiac sedan in an effort to get off on the exit.

But the car spun out of control in the exit lane and slammed into the front of the house. The vehicle spun around after the collision before coming to a stop in the front yard.

No one inside the home was injured.

Police say the driver was speeding and issued him a ticket.
