TONOPAH, Ariz. -
The Department of Public Safety has released the names of 7 people killed in a head-on collision with a semi truck last weekend.
It happened Sunday on I-10, near the Burnt Wells rest area at milepost 87. A semi-tractor trailer heading westbound crossed the median and struck a passenger van heading eastbound.
Everyone in the van was killed when it burst into flames.
It took all week for the medical examiner to confirm their identities as: Lanna Flood, 51, Tara Ferris, 32, Tylor Joe Harper, 16, Tori Sanchez, 13, Jullian Flores, 12, Damion Cuadras, 11, and Dominic Cuadras, 10.
It’s not clear who was driving.
They are members of the Colorado River Indian Tribe in western Arizona.
The semi driver was not hurt, but his wife was injured. It is believed that the driver suffered a medical condition, causing him to lose control.
