Family of slain armored truck driver speaks out

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WAFB) -

Family
members of the armored truck driver who was killed in New Orleans have ended
their silence about the tragic shooting.

Relatives
of Hector Trochez said they want the public’s help to find the person
responsible. Trochez was gunned down just days ago in broad daylight.

Trochez’s
family said he would often take in the less fortunate while growing up and added
he was always a hard worker.

Those are just
a few reasons why his family said this loss is just that much harder.

“You took
the life of someone that meant so much to us,” said Claudia Trochez, the victim’s
sister. “You didn’t give him a chance.”

A police
investigator told Trochez’s family he was able to fire shots at his assailant as
he tried to protect himself and his partner.

Three
suspected gunmen were last seen in a gray Hundai with a temporary license
plate. They were wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts.
