CALIMESA: Man killed in I-10 crash ID’d – Press

A 51-year-old Hacienda Heights man was killed Thursday morning, Dec. 26, when he lost control of his car on westbound Interstate 10 in Calimesa, clipped another vehicle and struck a tree.

Hyanyu Wang was pronounced dead at Loma Linda University Medical Center after the 10:02 a.m. crash, the CHP and San Bernardino County coroner’s office said.

The man was driving a 2013 Voklswagen Passat approaching County Line Road when he lost control. The Passat clipped the left front of 2008 Suburban driven by Diane Cunningham, 70, of Cherry Valley, who was also westbound in an adjoining lane.

The Passat went off the roadway, down a dirt embankment and struck a tree.

No one else was injured.

No alcohol or drugs appeared to be a factor in the accident, Meyer wrote in a news release.
