BANNING: Multi-car crash causes Interstate 10 closure – Press

Accident Default

All lanes were closed on eastbound Interstate 10 in Banning for more than an hour due to a multi-car crash, according to a CHP official.

Two cars collided at 5:05 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, just east of Hargrave Street and both overturned spraying debris all over the roadway. A semi-truck then ran over the debris and got a flat tire, according to CHP Officer Darren Meyer.

Emergency workers closed all eastbound lanes while they worked on the scene and traffic backed up for half a mile, the officer said.

Nobody was injured, and the freeway was completely reopened by 6 a.m.
