BALDWIN PARK – The eastbound 10 Freeway has reopened after being closed Tuesday morning due to a crash between two trucks that resulted in spill of diesel fuel.

The crash occurred at about 7:20 a.m. when a semi truck reportedly jackknifed on the freeway just past the 605 Freeway, said California Highway Patrol spokesman Ming Shu. A tanker truck following behind then crashed into the semi.

The crash resulted in about 50 gallons of diesel spilling onto the freeway, officials said. All lanes of the freeway were closed at 8:38 a.m. and traffic was diverted onto the 605.

Cleanup was completed and lanes reopened by about 9:40 a.m. Baldwin Park Boulevard remained closed after the freeway reopened.

The drivers of both trucks sustained minor to moderate injuries, including scrapes bruises and pain, in the collision and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
